The Pilates method is a balance of body control, deep breathing and relaxation.
It strengthens the body, increases flexibility and improves the posture.
Pilates includes varied and diverse exercises from simple to very complex, a series of controlled movements executed on apparatus (especially developed by J.H. Pilates) or on a mat. Every movement is based on six key principles:
- Centering of power
- Controlled Movement
- Precision of Execution
- Conscious Breathing
- Flowing Sequence of Movement
The aim of the training is a harmonic mix of power, flexibility and control.
In a gentle manner it gives a positive change to your posture, breathing, concentration and stamina.
Trainer Caroline was born in Purmerend, Holland. She started her ballet studies in Amsterdam and continued them in England, Zürich, Antwerp and Munich. From 1997 until 2008 she danced professionally at the Pfalztheater in Kaiserslautern.
In 2008 she completed her Original Pilates Teacher Training, in Stuttgart with Davorka Kulenovic, who was a student of Romana Kryzanowska.
Caroline is a member of the German Association of Pilates.
